This project has been a game changer for me. What started as a simple practice session in Marvelous Designer quickly evolved into my primary focus. I’ve always wanted to work on a project dedicated entirely to clothing, and as a long-time fan of Call of Duty, I felt it was the perfect inspiration to express that interest.
I had an absolute blast working in Marvelous Designer. Thanks to this project, I now feel much more confident using the tool and creating various types of garments. One of my main goals is to implement Chaos simulation on this outfit, which I’m currently working on.
One of the most challenging parts of the process was converting the Marvelous Designer model into an optimized, game-ready asset. It took me a couple of tries to get to the version I have now. Another hurdle was texturing, fabric can be particularly tricky to get right. To tackle this, I referenced a lot of real-life images and studied different kinds of materials. There’s still room for improvement, and I plan to revisit the textures soon.
Last but not least - Chaos. It’s powerful, but so unpredictable. I’m still working on getting a clean, believable simulation, and I’ll be posting the results once I’m done. If you have any tips or feedback on Marvelous Designer or Chaos simulations, I’d love to hear them!
